Paris was filled with reflection and transformation. In order to transform, I cried, I bled (the not so glamours aspects of hand sewn pieces), as I created my pieces in a small AirBNB in Saint-Denis. Each design encompasses darkness, sadness, as well as light and joy and every inexplicable emotion. It was the experience of this duality that evoked transformation in me and my pieces.
It is with this sense of direction that I present you with- URIEL SAENZ “REFLECTION” in collab with Moldilox . Each shot, lighted by reflected light off the LOUVRE, journeys through the paths of emotions I experienced in creating each piece. The LOUVRE's water, it’s light, and it’s energy is depicted in darkness and representative of the contradictory emotional journey I have navigated.
"Fall for Frida" was exhibited at the MOLAA (Museum of Latin American Art)
"Frida Kahlo has a lot of similarities to the women I design for; they are strong, creative and mysterious , but above all survivors of life" - Uriel Saenz
